Accommodation

Willow Retreat provides self-catering accommodation only. Lunches are provided with certain of our courses, and occasionally we will have charity dinners on the premises. Please note that we are not a restaurant, neither are we licensed to serve alcohol. Kitchens in our cabins are well equipped and there are grocery stores in the nearby town of Baddeck for your food shopping convenience.

Willow Retreat has a 100% non-smoking policy. This includes the grounds and surrounding woodland. Anyone found violating this policy will be asked to leave immediately.

A Note About Wildlife

Willow Retreat is situated on the edge of a Crown wilderness area. There are black bear, moose and coyotes in the vicinity. Please be aware that these are wild animals and must under no circumstances be approached. When you arrive at Willow Retreat you will be given a primer about what to do if you should come across a wild animal during your stay with us. Please take this seriously and govern your actions accordingly.

A Note About Technology

Willow Retreat does not have cell service. Upon arrival, you will be asked to turn off and put away all PDAs, smartphones and similar devices. We do have high-speed Internet access with Wi-Fi, and laptops and electronic book readers will work. However, we would ask that you be considerate of other guests and use earphones to listen to music or audio of any kind. Please remember that this is a retreat, and all guests are entitled to peace and quiet.
